You can place any text in this field, but it should be something you can remember easily, PassGen works off of entered values. In order to generate the same password, you need to enter all the same values. I would suggest a URL such as "bankofamerica.com", or a name such as "Bank of America" or even "my bank." The longer and more varied the entry, the better the password that will be generated. |

This is the only field you need to remember. A good password is made up of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters. The easiest way to generate a good password that is easy to remember is by using the first letter of each word in a phrase. E.G. "I was 6 feet tall in 8th grade!" This would yield a password "Iw6fti8g!" This is a good password, but remember, longer and more varied is better.

This is the length of the password which will be generated. It can be any value from 8 to 20.

You can check any or all of these boxes but you must check at least one. Your generated password can contain Upper and Lower case letters, Numbers and a select set of Special characters. See the ranges following each check box. Zero(0) is not used to avoid confusion with the letter O(o). Special characters are limited to those which are easily distinguishable and are not used in HTML code.
